Last Saturday Cadance starred in the nativity. When Steve told me that we has been asked to play Mary, Joseph and Jesus I replied, "But she's a girl." Apparently this doesn't matter at two months. People said having a real baby added to the presentation a lot. And, Cadance was an excellent babe in Bethlehem. We wrapped her up in some brown cloth and she hardly made a sound. She did look slightly confused, but that's okay.
Our ward Christmas event was a lot of fun. The cultural hall was decorated like Bethlehem and everyone wore period attire. They had games for the kids and a member of our ward wrote people's names in Greek, Hebrew or Latin. It was pretty awesome. Here is a picture of us
And of me with my fake baby
Aren't you just glad you're not pregnant for real again? Looks like you guys were a great holy family. :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! And it is true, they don't care for babies. :) My sister Stephanie was born in early November and was Jesus that year in the nativity.
ReplyDeleteHow fun for you. I always wanted a major role in the ward production of the nativity, but was usually a shepherd or something.
ReplyDeleteCool! That sounds like a really fun activity! I have always wondered if my girl looks enough like a girl that if I dressed her nondescript, would people be able to tell she's a girl? Maybe I'll have to try it sometime.
ReplyDeleteYay, I re-found your blog! I have a Christmas card to send you guys but I need your address. Can you email it to me at amyskimball at gmail dot com? You guys are such a cute family. Congrats on your baby girl. She is adorable!
