All Around the House

Cadance and I spend a lot of time at home.  So, I thought I would share some things that have gone on at home the last couple of weeks

Eating blueberries: she loves blueberries and asks to eat this on a regular basis

Playing in shredded paper- why not?

Dressing up and twirling

Playing with duplos people- they almost always come along for whatever we do

"Get Stuck" - which Cadance thinks is hilarious, until she decided she wants to come out

De-tangling hair- every morning

Our V-Day Party

Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays.  I get really excited about it.  The day before V-day Steve told me about one guy he works with that hates valentine's because it's so commercialized and it forces people to do something romantic, when really romance should be for every day.  My retort: is he romantic the other days?  Honestly, I think we all need a good kick in the butt reminder to love those around us.

So, this year, I had two plans for Valentine's day.

Plan one, take Cadance around to a nursing home with some cards we'd made previously and give them to some of the residents.  I wouldn't say it was the most super fun experience, but old people really love little kids and it was so nice to bring a smile to someone's face, especially when they may not get a lot of visitors.  Cadance did really well, and especially liked handing the cards out.

Plan two, family party.

I even decorated.  I loved when Cadance walked into the room.  She stopped in her tracks and said, "Ooo...decorations."

We made heart shaped pizzas and opened gifts/read cards while they baked.

I also made strawberry lemonade, and look at this cute kid who was super excited to get something other than water and milk.

It was a super fun night, but unfortunately we ended the festivities early when Cadance threw a huge fit and vomited strawberry lemonade all over me and her.   It was super disgusting.  Oh, well, it was so much fun to celebrate and remember how much I love my family.
